So, I've been consumed by a nice little game of awesome. It's called Minecraft. I really shouldn't call it little because the sky is the limit (literally) in this game. The graphics in the game put me off at first but they grow on you. Now I couldn't imagine the game any other way. I have gotten Gary addicted to the game so much that we have our own private server. So, if after reading this you want to join us in our quest to build let me know.

I can't really explain minecraft to you. It really is something you have to see. Here are a couple videos. The first one is made by a guy called Seananners. His commentary is hilarious and his videos are very entertaining. The second video is just more informative.

I have some more questions. Some of these I already received the answers I needed from them. I went and ahead and just put them all down.

1. Where did people go after they died before Jesus?

2. Where did people go after they died after Jesus but were out of reach of the Christian religion? Example: They American Indians, Chinese, etc.

3. Was Jesus trying to save us from religion?

4. What would Jesus think of the church today?

5. Is the church today a false religion?

6. Why does Paul contradict the teachings of Jesus?

7. Was Paul a fake?

8. Will the world actually end?

9. What is the true nature of God?

10. Is this really the only chance we get at life?

11. Was the creation a literal seven days?

Maybe to many at once but oh well.

Special Questions

This morning during church my mind was bombarded with questions. So, I wrote them down. I don't normally do that and that is why I normally forget my special questions. Bro. Jason was giving his sermon out of Matthew 7:21-23. This made me think about how we attain salvation. I mean really? Here were the questions that followed.

1. Where did evil come from?

2. Is evil the absence of God?

3. How can evil be the absence of God when God is everything?

4. Does infinite punishment justify a finite life?

5. Did Jesus die for our sins or did he die to prove a point?

6. Why is the God of the old testament a wrathful jealous God and the God of the new testament one of love and mercy?

7. How can they be the same?

When I get more questions I intend to continue to write them down. My goal is to eventually blog the conclusions that I come to for these questions. Hopefully this will help me in my life and maybe help whoever is reading in theirs as well.

Soccer

Since I'm all in to Twitter and such now I just don't see to ever make blog entries much anymore. I want that to change. I miss my spills of complete nonsense on my blog. So, I promise I will return here in full splendor.

I've been following the World Cup religiously. I always do this during the Cup. Fortunately, though this has totally sparked my interest into soccer even further and I plan on keeping up with the MLS this year. I kind of saddens me also to think how serious the rest of the world takes soccer and here in the USA it's relatively unknown. I want that to change. I defiantly want that to change here where I live where football and baseball are king. Which leads me to another point. I hate American Football. I really do. It just doesn't mesh with my idea of fun at all. Granted yeah it's fun to go to a game and enjoy the moment of a team just playing really well but you can do that with any sport. I just wish that soccer was taken a little more seriously here.

Red Dead Redemption is awesome. Love it! Now I just need to beat it. Also, I've gotten back into a RTS mood. I've been playing Age of Empires III and loving every minute of it. If anyone wants to play just let me know.

That is pretty much all that is going on in my life at the moment. Still not full time at work. They told me it would have to be figured into the budget for next year. So, now I have to wait a whole year for them to tell me it will be next year again. Same song and dance. If I could get another job some where else I would, but there just aren't any jobs around here.

Samoas

Just bought a couple boxes of Samoas. These are my favorite flavor of Girl Scout cookie. Just wondering how long these two boxes will actually last. I give them a day. The lady I bought them from was out of Tagalongs, but said she would have more tomorrow. Will I purchase more tomorrow? Affirmative...

I was wondering through Wal-Mart the other night and noticed Star Trek Online is out. I have no desire to even play that now. Especially, after the whole FFXI incident. Actually, I think I'm past the whole pay to play MMOs now. I'm more of a console person now. Complete turn around from 4 years ago. I blame the industry. Majority of games on PC now are MMOs. I'm just not into that never ending game scenario. However, did just read that they are making Civilization V which I will defiantly being getting when that comes out. Civ games and Sim city are my kryptonite...

Brandi and I ate at US Pizza last night with some friends we hadn't seen in awhile. Man has US Pizza changed. Totally different on the inside now from what I remember. Of course that last time I was in there they still had their cigarette vending machine. The place just seems kind of run down, but the pizza still tasted the same. I suppose that is all that matters.

So, I accepted the job to teach a class on how to setup and use a facebook account. Not lying they really did ask me if I would teach that class. Brandi informed me that I would do it since it paid. It really shouldn't be that hard but then I think about the types of people that would actually take the class and I realize that I will probably take up the whole three hours that the class is suppose to be. So, wish me luck and I hope I don't bomb. I've never taught a class before so this should be interesting.

Malfunction

Traded in Brandi's crappy excuse for a car last week and purchased her a 2008 Jeep Patriot. I like it a lot. We couldn't have bought it at a better time either. It handled the snow and ice like a champ. We got a really good deal on it too. I was quite pleased. I know the first few days afterward I was really nervous. This was the first real decision we have made as a married couple and the first time I've ever bought a vehicle with out my father there to help me negotiate or just negotiate for me. It was big step into independence I suppose.

Things have been slow at work. I know I have just jynx myself by stating that. I mean I have plenty of work to do just no motivation. I just keep wondering if they are really ever going to make me full time. I would go to another job if there were any around, believe me I've looked. I mean I like where I work it's just come on folks I've worked here for four years I've proven myself and I deserve INSURANCE!

My xbox bit the dust the past week. I didn't get the RROD instead my GPU decided to give out. I can still boot the 360 up and navigate the menus just fine, but when you start to play a game the screen goes transparent red and all glitchy. When you press the xbox button on the controller it brings up the menu just fine but the screen behind it is still and messed up. I traded cables thinking the cable was messed up but no the problem continued. I even hooked another xbox up to my cables and it worked fine. So, the problem was the cables it has to be the GPU and since it's integrated to the motherboard that is all that needs to be replaced on it. So, I went and bought an Arcade version of the 360 and slapped my HDD on and we're all peachy king now. GTA IV is my current title of choice.

This week's Netflix:

Jumper: One of the only movies I've seen Hayden Christensen in much since Revenge of the Sith. It wasn't a terrible movie but it wasn't great. I liked it. Kind of had that old B movie with a good budget feel. Plus Samuel L. Jackson was in it so that helped it out tremendously.

Paranormal Activity: I've heard people say this was a terrifying movie. While others have said this wasn't scary at all. I guess it's all in what creeps you out. I found it to be in the middle. There were defiantly times I was trying to hide behind my wife and others where I was laughing. Since the movie was made on a budget of only $15,000 I was impressed with the final product. I liked it, but this is coming from a person that likes those paranormal shows on Syfy and A&E.

I Have a Dream

I finally got my FFXI account back. However, now I have no desire to play. The whole experience has just made me want to finally put the game to rest. We'll see if I still feel the same way in a few months.

As of late I haven't gamed much. Been catching up on TV and reading. Wheel of Time is starting to pick up. But still not enough to make me not want to put it down. Glad to be back at work after the Christmas break. That is one reason why I haven't posted in awhile. The first two weeks back were pretty crazy. I would rather be busy than slow. Makes the day go by faster.

I started a dream journal. Been having a lot of weird and just absolutely vivid dreams lately. Thought it might be best to start writing then down. I don't know about this journal site, but we'll see how it turns out. I was going to put it on LJ but then I thought you know I actually want some outside input. Hopefully, some one will have something to say about them.

This weeks Netflix:

The Hangover: Pretty hilarious movie but its seemed more of a one timer to me. Partly, due to the entire plot of the movie. Still hilarious though.

The Maltese Falcon: Great movie from 1941. I love that whole time period and just the feel of the movie. Humphrey Bogart is always win.

So, my FFXI account was hacked this week. All of my Gil and items were stolen off of my main character and my mule. The hacker was kind enough though to only take items of value and left me my cheap armor, weapons, and other various items. I thought it was quite thoughtful of him. I called SE about it and they are going to investigate it and rollback my character data. In the mean time my account has been jailed and I can't log back on until they email me telling me it has bee fixed. They said it could be at least a week. On the bright side this gives me a chance to enjoy Dragon Age for the rest of my break before I have to return to work Monday.

We only have two more years before the end of the world. Lets make these next two memorable!

I just hooked up the new wireless keyboard and mouse Brandi got me for Christmas. I must say they range on this set is way way way better than the old one. The old keyboard and mouse had to be withing inches of their receiver. This new sets receiver is across the room on the entertainment center. I was very impress considering it is not bluetooth. However, it is logitech and they have yet to let me down.

Well that is about all for now. I've played through all sic of the starting stories on Dragon Age. Now it's just a matter of which to play. So far, Dwarf Noble and Human Noble have been my favorite. I think I'm going to go with Dwarf Noble. He's such a strong warrior. Just cuts enemies heads clean off.

Christmas has come and gone. It's always over so fast when I start to enjoy it. I guess that is just the way it is. Santa was very generous this year. He brought Brandi and I a lot of cool stuff. As you can tell by the title I received Dragon Age, which is an amazing game. Reminds me of playing Baldur's Gate back in the day. ^_^ good times. I also got a RC helicopter. Always fun to play with that and torture the cat. Then I got the Half Blood Prince. Great movie! The present I was most excited about wasn't even mine. Brandi opened up a present and what was inside? None other than Monopoly City! Loads of fun! I think I like the present more than she does.

So, I've been off work since the 18th. It's been nice. I haven't really have a vacation all year. I'm loving sitting around in my underwear until I feel like getting dressed and move about. Going to be sad to see it go when I have to return to work on Jan. 4th. But I know I'll be ready to go back when the time comes.

Stephen is now playing FFXI with all of us. Oh remembering what it was like to start new and not know what was going on. The game can see overwhelming at first. I can't say that I envy him. But I hope he is having fun because that is all that matters. I signed up for FF XIV Beta. I hope I am selected... I want to get in on this before it comes out! I'm basically wanting a headstart. I'm sure they will wipe out beta characters before the games actual release.

The best way to describe my marriage is that Ebenezer Scrooge married one of the women of Whoville. Yes Brandi has been playing Christmas music since September... The house was fully decorated for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving and she thinks she has to buy everyone in Jackson county a present. FML... Don't get me wrong I enjoy this time of year, but Brandi's over zealous approach to Christmas makes me hate it. However, I'm done buying presents. I finally got Brandi finished and she just has a few left to buy that I don't approve of but she never does anything I tell her to do anyway. So, I'll be ringing in the new year broke! Gotta love a wife that blows all your hard earned money!

Two of my younger cousins stayed with Brandi and I this past weekend. That was fun. Nothing better than playing video games with a couple of 12 year olds! Taught them how to play risk. That ended about as well as every game of risk ever played; a lot of tears. No the enjoyed playing, however, they did not enjoy losing horribly to my Blitzkrieg tactics.

Started reading the Wheel of Time again. It's time I finish.

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra: Enjoyed it a lot more than originally thought I was. What saved it was just the complete non stop action. As far as keeping true to Joe lore I have no clue. It's been far to many years since I watched the cartoon and quite frankly I don't care if they put in a character name Wheelbase. The movie was good.

Winter Sucks!!

It is freaking 29 degrees outside. I'm sorry but that is just absolutely unacceptable. This is why I could never live in any of the northern states. Cold air is just not my friend. I need to pick which blog I want to use livejournal or blogger? I like bloggers options a lot more, but people actually read my journal and comment on it at LJ... Doesn't really matter either way.

So, I've always wanted to get into road biking but never can get started. One reason being the good bikes are expensive, plus the seats on a road bike compare to that of sitting on a butt plug in a jeep going down a gravel road. However, I discovered recumbent bicycles and they look like a lot of fun. I want to try one out so bad, but unfortunately I live in small town USA where that sort thing is probably unheard of. I highly doubt the bike shop in Jonesboro has one. Still it doesn't hurt to look. All of the bikes I have looked at online are way out of my price range. I want to just build one but I lack to tools or the resources to do so. Sometimes I wish my dad still had his welding shop. I can see it now him and I could have went into the recumbent manufacturing business. Would have been cool. A man can dream.

All In Due Time

Well I know it has been a good while since my last entry. I apologize I'm such a bad person. I now get two lashings from the foam whip. Not a whole lot has happened these past two months. Already seen Easter 09 and Mother's Day Blast 09 come and go. Good times.

I have gotten full blown back into Final Fantasy XI and it is good. They have made the game so much better than the last time I played it is unreal. The two main improvements that have peaked my interest are the level sync and fields of valor. With the two combined unstoppable duo fun action. Matt and I have been tearing up the game since we have started back due to these new features. We have even gotten some old friends back into the game. Shaun and Ryan have now caught the bug. I think I have maybe even talked Lori into playing. Now if she starts maybe she can talk her brother Wade into playing as well. As for what I have accomplished I have gotten my AF weapon for my Samurai and leveled it to 43 and gotten my white mage to 44. But I have kind of stalled on those two for now and have been playing as Dark Knight which is actually a lot more fun. But, however, I need to get whm to 50 so I can get Genkai 1 over with and proceed to finishing up Bastok Rank 6.

In other news saw Star Trek this past Friday. Only one word is needed to sum the movie up... Amazing. That is all I can say about it. Go watch the movie and witness the amazingness of it and you'll feel better about yourself and life in general.

Also I had a bit of a mouse problem in my house recently. But I took care of it the old fashion way... Got myself a cat. Mouse now nonexistent. I haven't seen any trace of it since I got the cat. I just want to thank Brandi for allowing me to take home one of her 47 cats living in her feline wild life refuge and resort outside her house. It was kind of rough start with the cat. She for some reason thought that my head was the best possible place to sleep at night. I have broke her of this idea after several tossings (I don't think that is a word but you get my drift).

So, only 4 more months until the wedding. Sept 19th is getting closer really fast. Lightning fast. A couple friends of mine are getting married this weekend so I get to attend that Saturday. Maybe this will be a refresher course for me. It has been awhile since the last wedding I had attended and I didn't really get to "watch" it due to me being a groomsmen.

That has pretty much been it. I hope to start updating more often. I know I said that last time but I plan to keep track of my FFXI progress on here as well. Figured that might be a neat thing or at least something to experiment with. Kind of a life/ffxi blog. Maybe?

Slow Motion Typing

Tis been awhile since the last update. A lot has happened. I had my tooth pulled. That is all healed up quite nicely. I took some pictures of the tooth, I think I'll post them later. It was a monster. I was surprised that some brains didn't come out with it. Seriously, it was this big *makes gesture with hands*.

I've purchased a new computer. Long over due maybe? I think not. My computer has done well since 2003 when I first bought it. I only had to rebuild it once. Seriously, I got six years out of a Gateway computer. I was very proud. But this time I'm building my own. Here it is!!! And apparently now that I bought it they dropped the price. Skanks... I put in 4GB of ram, 2.5ghz AMD Athlon 64 bit dual core processor. Gonna be nice I hope. The small form factor worried me a first but I think it will be nice. No need for all those huge open never used expansion bays. I think I'm going to turn my old computer into a straight linux box. Good times ahead.

With this new computer on the way it has sparked my interest in PC games. Which is a fun and great until FFXI stares at me with it's beady crack like gaze. So, to sort of feed the need I've been playing SilkRoad and it's pretty neat free MMORPG. But as with all free mmo's they just don't stack up to FFXI or WoW. I want to play FFXI but at the same time there is a side of me that just cringes at the thought of playing it again. -_-" I'll never have my lvl 75 Samurai. However, all is not lost because now with my new computer I'm prepared and ready for Diablo III. That will be the game for me. I loved Diablo II a little to much. Might of been why I didn't have a girlfriend really until college. But I don't regret it at all because the game was that good. Heck who am I kidding video games are just that good.

I'm trying to learn Japanese. That in itself is a pretty big task. They say Japanese is a hard language to learn. But they say that about English and I speak it fluently. Bad statement to make I know. I do have a good learning tool in my arsenal. Rosetta Stone. So, far its been really neat. If I stick with it I hope to be able to understand basic Japanese by the end of the year. That is my goal anyway. At least be able to read Hiragana and Katakana.

Been reading The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. Interview With A Vampire has been fantastic so far. I loved the movie and as of now I'm loving the book even more. After reading them I'm stumped as to what to read next. Lori gave me a stack of books and them found more. So, I have a lot of options to choose from.

Sad Tooth

Went to the dentist Wednesday due to the fact that it feels like some sort of mining expedition is going on it the back of my mouth. I opened my mouth she looked at my tooth and says "No point in trying to save the tooth, I think we'll just pull it." I was all like "awesome get it out of my mouth now". But alas no, she gave me a prescription for some antibiotics and pain killers and told me to come back on the 23rd. Hopefully, it will be smooth sailing during the extraction. The dentist scares the living crap out of me. But I know when it is all said and done I'll be all happy and not in pain constantly.

In other news I purchased the FunTown Mahjong game from XBLA. Decent game I suppose. It only offers one version of Mahjong which is the 16 tile Taiwanese version that I had never played before. But it was simple enough. It does all the scoring and stuff for you so all you have to focus on is going mahjong. Still haven't found anything that helps with scoring on any version of Mahjong. I've been looking into riichi, the japanese version, mahjong. It looks like alot of awesome complicated fun. Just wished there was someone around that I could actually sit down and play with and they could teach me.

This weeks Netflix movie:
Pineapple Express: starring Seth Rogen and James Franco. Funny movie. Didn't like it as much as Superbad but nothing is perfect. I really enjoyed the movie. It's definantly one I'm going to add to my collection. Plus having Gary Cole, Bill Lumbergh, be the villian helped a lot.

Hope Runs Deep

Lots of things have happened since my last blog entry. They range from just the everyday things in my life to major historic events. Lets take for instance the fact that Barrack Obama is now the President of the US. BOO! Totally, was not who I voted for. Not a fan of Obama. Quite frankly the only thing I agreed with him on was his stance on technology. The rest McCain had sound ideas for our country. But hey you win some you lose some.

In other news I beat Fable II. Took a whole 2 weeks and that was me dragging it out. Short game but non the less loads of fun. Has potential replay value most likely in the next few months. However, I have now moved on to Gears of War 2. And let me start off by saying fantastic game. The first one was great this one is even better. They mad improvements where they need and nothing else. They went by the motto of "if it ain't broke don't fix it." a motto many game developers NEVER F'N FOLLOW! The campaign is solid and longer which was a major improvement alone. Plus the new Horde feature is great. Very challenging and fun to play with friends. I've only managed to make it to wave 17 on normal b/c I'm a pansy. This game is going to keep me occupied for awhile I hope.

This weeks Netflix's Movies:
Equilibrium: This is a movie I have seen before one night late on FX back in the day. First impression I got from it was Matrix wannabe. And I still think that, but I like the movie. Lots of action and it has Christian Bale in it.

What Happens in Vegas: I originally put this on my list for Brandi. In the end I enjoyed this movie a lot. Hilarious film. Never should have doubted Cameron Diaz who I enjoy in There's Something About Mary. I loved that movie and pretty much all of her's I have seen since. Another plus was the fact Ashton Kutcher was the leading man in the film. Once again my That '70s Show fanaticism ruled on that one. All in all I had good picks this time around.

Stopped at Wal-Mart on my lunch break to pick up the all important copy of Fable II. Now I'm just ready for some gameage. Should be a lot of fun, we'll just have to wait and see.

Bella died last week. Cleaned out the tank and refilled it then picked up two more fish. They seem to be a lot more lively than Bella was. I think Petco sold us a sick fish. At least that is who I am going to blame. Brandi named the new fish Sparky and Stella. Once again the gay naming system overrules the names I chose, but of course Douche and Bag were not the best names; just hilarious.

Other than that not to much has been going on as of late. Sorry for the bore fest but it happens. I'll update more on Fable II after I get some game time in.

Something Smells Fishy

Well I bought a fish yesterday. Purchased a 10 gallon tank and cool little decor for the "habitat". Sad thing was Petco only had one goldfish left. So, that was the little guy I got. Brandi named it Bella. I have no clue if it is a male or female. I don't even no where to begin to find out how to tell. So, we are making an educated guess of girl. It's been awhile since I've posted. I still haven't convinced anyone to play Mah Jong with me. I think the pieces intimidate them. I know the game did me at first. In all honesty it's not that hard. Sure the scoring is still a bit tricky. I don't fully understand that, but it's not like we have to keep score. However, I have fell in love with a game called Rummikub. If you've never played it then you should. It's alot of fun. What doesn't make sense is the fact my friends will play Rummikub but not Mah Jong when they are both essentially rummi based games.

In other news I've been playing the first Fable game. I never did get this game back when it daybued on the original Xbox. I decided to get a feel of the game's world before I picked up Fable II on the 21st. Fantastic game. I wish that I had not waited until now to play this game. I love it so much. The graphics are still decent. The game controls are smooth. If they sequels is at least just as good as the first we'll have a winner, but that is just my opinion.

There are so many games coming on the 360 this year that I just can't wait to play. Fable II, Gears of War 2, The Last Remnant, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead, Mirrors Edge, and Star Ocean: The Last Hope. Going to be an interesting fall gaming season.

Jim Gaffigan: Beyond The Pale is absolutely hilarious. But then I love Jim Gaffigan. He's a funny guy.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall starring Jason Segel, Kristen Bell, and Mila Kunis. Overall great movie. Had me laughing through most of it. Few scenes of awkward male frontal nudity which I could have done with out, but it did add to the weird comedy. Was glad to see the psychotic blonde from Heroes in the movie (I like her) and Mila Kunis is another favorite of mine from That 70's Show. Jackie Burkhart I <3 U.

Twitter?

So, I've enter into a world of complete connectedness or at least it seems that way. I started a twitter account today to see what all the fuss is about. I know I'm kind of behind on that but better late than never right? From what I've seen and done on Twitter so far it's pretty neat. The text msg updates and all are nice, but I can see where if you have a large following how it could get out of hand really quick. A feature that I really liked a lot was the option to have twitter updates on my blog. The little Twitter widget on the right hand side of the page is by far my favorite snipet.

Sorry for the lack updates. I'm making a pact now to update at least once a week. If you don't make a habit of something you won't ever remember to do it.

In gaming this month Too Human was released. I haven't gotten a copy yet. I don't know what the hold back is. I was all gung ho excited about the games release and when it came out I just... Had no desire to play it. At the moment I haven't really been playing to many games. I've been hanging out and playing cards or board games with my friends. We have been making a point to get together atleast once a week and do so. It's been great, but then I love board games. The mahjong set I ordered came in earlier this week. I was really stoked about that. Now it's just trying to get three others to play it with me. I've got them general game play down. I'm just having a hard time understanding the scoring. The chinese made the scoring some what of a lot of math. Or well it seems like alot of math to me. I'm probably just making it harder than it has to be. I'll post some pictures of the set later. It's a really nice looking set.

This weeks Netflix Movies:
Legend Of The Drunken Master starring non other than Jackie Chan and the late Anita Mui. Great movie! I'm a hung fan of martial arts films usually no matter what. Hong Kong films are pretty much the best there is in the genre.

Work Work Work

Not a lot going on as of late. Been working quite a bit. Just means a bigger pay check. Which I need since it's car insurance month. Still on the hunt for a new job. I'm needing a full time job, but those are in short supply in this area. Especially, computer jobs. -_-" Hopefully, something will come up.

I have been waiting for the release of Too Human. Can't wait. Only a few more weeks. I have played the demo. It was loads of fun. The multiplayer is what is really going to be fun. Dungeon Crawler rpgs, or as I call them "Fungeon Crawlers" are always a blast when you have a friend to complete the epic quest with. There is just something about futuristic cybernetic vikings that is intriging. As I wait for the release I fired up God of War this week. That game never disappoints. So much fun. ^_^

Linux. What?

I downloaded and installed Ubuntu 8.04 onto my computer this evening. I know I've sinned against Bill Gates and the Microsoft gods, but I must admit: Linux is sexy. I've been doing lots of reading on Linux this past month and word on the street is Ubuntu is one of the best versions out there. The feature that caught my eye (and made me download it) was the ability to run it live right off the cd. Great tool for in case your os corrupts and you need precious material off your hard drive. So, I tried that feature out and liked the clean feel of it all. I ran really smooth right off the cd. I was impressed.

As I read on I discovered that I could install and just share my hard drive with XP and have a dual boot. Since I had an extra hard drive laying around I did just that and boom I have XP and Ubuntu on my computer together making dirty computer love to one another. The install was rediculously easy. So, easy that I was almost sure I was doing something wrong or forgetting something important.

So, as I blog right now in my fresh new Ubuntu os I say that Windows better step it up and take a lesson from Linux or they are crash and burn like a Compaq Presario.

Just read that everyone's favorite RPG series will be coming to the Xbox 360. Final Fantasy XIII will be on teh 360. Cold day in hell? I don't think so. I think it's about time. I'm even more excited that I now have even more reason to not buy a PS3. ^_^ w00t! Microsofts Announcement

Is anyone else getting tired of hearing about the new iPhone? I sure as heck am. Dear lord folks. The media acts as though this phone is God's gift to mankind. It's OVERRATED. Granted yes it has alot of cool features and is really awesome looking. But I've seen, used, and abused one. I do not want one any time soon. At least not until the price drops to $100 and you can get insurance on it. Until then my Pantech Duo will do the job that it does so well.

In other news Brandi and I set a date (for now). So, clear your calendars for September 12, 2009 because I am getting hitched. However, I have a feeling that date will change. Women like to change their minds, often.

I found an interesting Fire Fox add on today and I'm trying it out. It's called ScribeFire and it lets you update and edit your blogs. So far it's pretty neat. We'll just have to see if it works out in the long run. I found the addon in an article I read this morning from one my many feeds I go through during the day. That Which Binds Us

Yesterday morning at church Bro. Cody is preaching along when he caught my attention. He was on part 5 of a series he has been doing out of Colossians chapter one. He was talking about how God created everything for his glory. Which is obvious, I mean just look around. However, it's something we forget quite often. During this sermon he went off into a rant about evolution which I won't go into (that is for another blog). In all that he stops and makes a statement about a substance called Laminin that holds us together and how it's molecular structure is in the shape of a cross. I was like "what?". So, today I looked it up and this is what I found.

The Vista Dragon

Diablo III has been announced. I know this is probably old news, but it is still good news. Good news for me anyway. I loved Diablo II and its expansion. They were fantastic games and claimed most of my high school years. I still log on to battle net and play D2 from time to time. It's just a shame that this game won't be released for probably another few years. Dang you Blizzard and you whole "we'll release the game when it's ready" bologna. I'm still excited and I will be tided over when Star Craft II is released. Then when I tire of it I'll drool over D3 some more.

In other news, I had to install the ever so lovely Windows Vista on a couple of computers today. Pretty simple installation. I'm not a huge fan of Vista, but then I wasn't a huge fan of XP when it first made its appearance. I'm sure Vista will grow on me. I hope it does anyway because there is no way of getting around it. I will have to upgrade to it some day. Hopefully, that day will be way down the road. One thing is for sure no matter how awfully Vista is I'll never switch to a Mac. They are nice and all, but not for me.

Okay since I have Netflix I suppose I could do a movie review of the movies that I have in at the time. Would make my blog a little more interesting maybe. We'll see how it goes.

Netflix movies of the week:
Be Kind Rewind starring Jack Black and Mos Def. Pretty funny movie. I enjoyed it. The scene in the movie where they recreate Ghostbusters was definitely worth the watch.
Juno starring Ellen Page and Michael Sera. It was okay. I enjoyed. I wouldn't buy it. However, I became a big fan of Michael Sera after seeing Superbad. Hilarious movie.

Well I made the transition over here from Live Journal due to the fact that LJ will not allow me to view my entries (or others) in a RSS feed. I've become a big fan of feeds since a friend of mine showed me the wonders of pageflakes. This has been my homepage for awhile now and I had it all nice and pretty, but I was never able to get the feeds I wanted to show up in the like I wanted. Well this same friend showed me Google Reader. It's awesome. I love it. So, now I have more feeds to keep up with and a new way to keep up with blogs. Going to give this a go now.

This will be my personal blog. My thoughts, feelings, and radical rants will be posted here. If I happen to say something that offends you, GREAT and I hope you come back for more. Enjoy.
